You have a variety of resources available to you when researching Antarctica.  Don't forget to use the print media in the Library as well.  We have copies of Dangerous Creatures which includes information on the Polar habitats and wildlife there.  You can also source Encarta 2003 and Explorapedia - the World of Nature.

• Year 5 task:  Investigate tourism in Antarctica.  How long is the journey, what does it cost, how do you get there?  What will you see when you get there?  Complete a travel brochure and name your own travel company to advertise the tourism opportunity.  Include all of the details that a tourist would need.
